Logistics is one of the fastest growing and most stable industries in Viet Nam, with an average growth rate of 14 – 16% a year and a scale of 40 – 42 billion USD/year. According to Agility’s assessment in 2022, Viet Nam is ranked 11th in the group of 50 global emerging logistics markets.

Under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, for the first time in Viet Nam, The Viet Nam International Logistics Exhibition (abbreviated as VILOG) is organized by Viet Nam Logistics Business Association (VLA) and VINEXAD Company. The exhibition will take place for 3 days, from August 10 to 12, 2023 at Hall B, Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. Thanks to its political and social stability and favorable geographical position, Viet Nam is benefiting from a wave of supply chain shifts. In addition, Viet Nam has taken advantage of its long coastline to have a seaport system with optimal capacity accompanying with an optimistic economic growth rate and stable production. The booming of e-commerce in both export and domestic consumption, helping Viet Nam to improve its competitiveness to become a center of transshipment in the world, a “link” in the global supply chain. Viet Nam is expected to become Asia’s “Logistics Star” in the near future.

Besides advantages, difficulties and challenges exist at the same time such as high service costs, increasing pressure on infrastructure. According to experts, the logistics industry still needs to develop infrastructure connectivity, public-private cooperation to expand into logistics centers and comprehensive supply chains in terms of circulation, processing, preservation, transportation and distribution.

The exhibition is organized by the Viet Nam Logistics Business Association (VLA) and the Organizer VINEXAD, with the active support of the Agency of Foreign Trade and the Trade Promotion Agency (under Ministry of Industry and Trade). The combination of a national association in the logistics industry and a professional organizer with extensive experience and network of partners is expected to create an event that showcases development of Viet Nam’s logistics industry commensurately with its inherent potential, at the same time creating a buzz to attract foreign investment, transfer operating technology, train human resources, and establish a green ecosystem in the logistics industry.
