Strengthening regional ties in socioeconomic development has been the Party and Government's policy in recent years. The socioeconomic development strategy for the 2021–2030 period recognized the need for regional economic development, outlining its requirements as follows: "To develop planning and organize the national territorial space in a reasonable manner, to best promote the unique advantages of each region and locality, and to strengthen intra-regional and inter-regional linkages to participate in the global value chains, creating new development spaces." On April 21, 2022, the Government issued Resolution No. 57/NQ-CP on tasks and solutions to improve the laws on socio-economic region links, highlighting the role of provinces and cities in establishing regional connectivity.
To realize the Cooperation Agreement on Vietnam’s Eastern Highway Economic Corridor signed on July 28, 2022 by VCCI, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, and Hung Yen provinces while promoting investment and taking potential advantages of industrial parks in the Vietnam’s Eastern Highway Economic Corridor to boost global smart manufacturing and supply chains, under the direction of the VCCI, the Business Forum Magazine will coordinate with relevant agencies to hold the Forum: Development of Industrial parks in the Vietnam’s Eastern Highway Economic Corridor 2024 with the theme “Fuelling global smart manufacturing and supply chains through regional connectivity”. The event is scheduled to take place in Quang Ninh on Tuesday, Decembe 10, 2024.
