The rountable focused on key practical issues, including identifying strategic segments for Vietnam within the global value chain, expansion requirements for RoK firms, cooperation mechanisms in technology, research and development (R&D), and human resources, as well as pathways for Vietnamese enterprises to integrate deeper into supply chains.

The event drew representatives from various RoK ministries, trade and technology promotion agencies, alongside nearly 30 high-tech companies, including major suppliers for Samsung, SK, and LG.

The Vietnamese delegation included Viglacera Corporation alongside trade associations, enterprises, and related organizations.

In his opening speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Vu Ho underscored that the semiconductor and electronics sectors are high-value manufacturing industries while serving as a crucial benchmark for Vietnam's technological capacity, workforce quality, and integration into global supply chains.

Discussions centered on investment locations, industrial park infrastructure, stable power supply, technical personnel, preferential policies, and connectivity with domestic partners.

RoK enterprises expressed strong interest in expanding production, conducting R&D, and exploring project opportunities in Vietnam. The active participation of Viglacera and domestic technology associations effectively bridged investors' demands with local infrastructure, talent pools, and partners.

Affirming that the Embassy will continue serving as a bridge linking enterprises with Vietnamese ministries, localities, industrial parks, and partners, Ambassador Vu Ho noted that the mission will actively follow up on proposals raised during the roundtable to accelerate feasible projects.

Vietnam regards the Republic of Korea (RoK) as a priority partner in high-tech industrial development, aiming to couple foreign direct investment with technology transfer, workforce development, and the strengthened capacity of local suppliers.

The true value of the roundtable lies not in the number of business cards exchanged, but in the subsequent projects, contracts, and enduring partnerships forged following the gathering. It serves as a direct channel for enterprises from both countries to explore new opportunities, thereby further deepening the Vietnam-RoK comprehensive strategic partnership.
