As one of the fastest growing and most stable industries in Vietnam, Logistics reaches an annual growth rate of 14 – 16% on average with a value of approximately 40-42 billion USD per year. According to Agility in 2022, Vietnam ranked 11th among the world’s 50 leading emerging logistics markets.
The Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition (abbreviated VILOG) will be held for the first time in Vietnam this year from 10th to 12th August 2023 at SECC (Hall B) – 799 Nguyen Van Linh St., Dist. 7, HCMC. The show is hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam (specifically, by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and the Agency of Foreign Trade) and organized by Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) and VINEXAD. The show creates a potential opportunity for domestic and international logistics service businesses, the community of investors, business owners, and other relevant parties to explore and tap into the local logistics market.
As its great strengths lie in political and social stability with a favorable geographical location, Vietnam is benefiting from a wave of supply chain shifts. In addition, Vietnam has taken advantage of its long coastline to have a seaport system operating at optimal capacity. The country also has a vibrant economic growth rate, stable production, and booming e-commerce in terms of export and domestic consumption, helping Vietnam to improve its competitiveness to become a center of transshipment of goods in the world, a “link” in the global supply chain. Vietnam is promising to become the logistics star of Asia shortly.
The difficulties and challenges, for example, high service costs and pressure on infrastructure, exist concurrently besides advantages. Experts state that it is essential for the logistics industry to develop infrastructure and combine public and private sectors to establish logistics centers for comprehensive supply chains, including circulation, processing, preservation, transportation, and distribution.
The exhibition is organized by the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) who has great impact in the industry and VINEXAD who is a professional organizer with extensive experience and network of partners. As a result, the show is expected to play an important role in promoting Vietnam’s logistics industry that is commensurate with its inherent potentials, thereby attracting foreign investment and technology transfer, improving human resources, and establishing a green ecosystem in the logistics industry.
VILOG 2023 will be held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City from August 10th to 12th with a predicted scale of 250 exhibitors in the following categories:
- Transport & Forwarding
- Warehouse & Loading
- Packaging & Cold Storage Technology
- Services & Applications
- Logistics IT
Last but not least, the Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition 2023 will be held concurrently with the 27th International Food, Beverage & Packaging Exhibition (abbreviated Vietfood & Beverage – Propack 2023). The intersection between these two specialized exhibitions will form a chain of links to increase trade efficiency, diversify supply sources, promote competition and strengthen the connection between local and foreign enterprises.
The events will gather enterprises from 20 countries and territories exhibiting at 800 booths and welcoming over 20,000 visitors in 3 show days.
The combined exhibition model continues to be the priority model applied by VINEXAD this year to diversify customer data, develop targeted industries, and promote two-way trade between businesses at home and abroad.
