IPA Vietnam Welcomes Thai Business Delegation to Explore Investment Cooperation Opportunities in the Minerals and Construction Materials Sectors
On the afternoon of January 28, 2026, Vietnam Investment Promotion and Cooperation Joint Stock Company (IPA Vietnam) welcomed and held a working session with a delegation of Thai enterprises, led by the Director-General of the Department of Primary Industries and Mines under the Ministry of Industry of Thailand. The meeting aimed to exchange information on legal policies and investment cooperation opportunities in the fields of minerals and construction materials in Vietnam.
The Thai delegation, headed by the Director-General of the Department of Primary Industries and Mines, included representatives from state management agencies, research institutions, and major enterprises operating in the mineral and heavy industry sectors. The program was organized within the framework of the project “Overseas Industrial Raw Material Resource Survey under International Cooperation to Support Target Industries,” assigned by the Department of Primary Industries and Mines to Chulalongkorn University and implemented through Chula Unisearch, with the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) Office in Hanoi acting as the coordinating body.

On the Vietnamese side, participants included representatives from VietLink Law Firm, Thanh Hung Technology Equipment Joint Stock Company, HLF Investment and Financial Management Co., Ltd., along with other relevant organizations.
In his remarks at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Nam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of IPA Vietnam, presented an overview of Vietnam’s investment environment, investment opportunities, and incentive policies for foreign investors. He also shared insights into the overall landscape of Thai FDI inflows into Vietnam and highlighted the potential for bilateral cooperation in the coming period.

Within the same program, Mr. Tran Van Long, Director of VietLink Law Firm, briefed Thai enterprises on procedures for establishing foreign-invested projects and enterprises (FDI) in Vietnam, including the investment implementation process from market research and feasibility assessment, obtaining investment policy approval (for projects subject to mandatory approval), issuance of the Investment Registration Certificate, enterprise establishment registration, and post-establishment legal procedures.

Regarding industrial real estate infrastructure development, Ms. Tran Thi Kim Thanh, General Director of Bao Minh – Khanh Hong Infrastructure Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, introduced an overview of the industrial park and industrial cluster projects developed by the company, thereby providing practical information for Thai enterprises to study, survey, and consider investment opportunities in Vietnam.

To clarify issues of interest, Thai enterprises also briefly introduced their business operations, demand for raw material sources, and their interest in cooperation and investment in Vietnam. The Q&A and direct exchanges between enterprises from both countries took place in a dynamic atmosphere, focusing on legal frameworks, investment conditions, industrial park infrastructure, and investment incentive policies for foreign investors in the minerals, construction materials, and heavy industry sectors.
