Dutch semiconductor chip firm injects capital into HCM City High-Tech Park
The management board of the Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park on November 2 granted an investment certificate to Dutch multinational company BE Semiconductor Industries N.V to manufacture semiconductor equipment components.
A representative of BESI revealed that the company has decided to rent a 2,000 metre ready-built factory in the park and pour more than US$4.9 million into the 50-year project in the first phase.
The enterprise plans to install equipment and recruit workers from now until the end of next year to prepare for the official operation of the production line slated for early 2025.
BESI’s investment is anticipated to contribute to developing the semiconductor manufacturing industry in Vietnam, creating new job opportunities for workers, and training a team of skilled engineers in the field.
BE Semiconductor Industries N.V (BESI) is a global company which has its headquartered in the Netherlands, operating seven branches throughout both Asia and Europe.
The firm specialises in developing and manufacturing semiconductor equipment for the global semiconductor and electronics industry. Its main customers include multinational integrated circuit (IC) manufacturers, assembly contractors, and electronics and industrial companies.
