DRASTIC DEVELOPMENT IN SCALE AND DISPLAYED PRODUCTS at Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo 2021
The International Medical, Hospital and Pharmaceutical Exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City is a typical and comprehensive event in the health sector held annually under the support and sponsorship of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. Vinexad in cooperation with related medical and pharmaceutical associations organize in two major cities: Ho Chi Minh City (August) and Hanoi Capital City (December) under international name “VIETNAM MEDI-PHARM EXPO”.
Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo which is taking place in the 20th year, from 12 ~ 14 August 2021 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) - 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City will have the largest scale so far with over 400 exhibitors from 20 countries and territories.
Active integration - Non-stop contributions to Vietnam s health sector
The main goal, "guideline" for the success of the exhibition is to promote commercial activities - Bringing advanced technology, innovative services from domestic and foreign businesses to contribute to health caring, medical examination and treatment, improving the quality of life of Vietnamese people. The exhibition is an opportunity for Vietnam s healthcare industry to integrate and develop, a bridge for Vietnamese medical and pharmaceutical enterprises to meet and exchange experiences, introduce products and expand international cooperation, access to high-tech facilities and apply the world s advanced medical achievements in Vietnam.
Mr. Hứa Phú Doãn – Vice President and General Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association said: “Vietnam has been an emerging attractive destination for foreign investors, particularly the pharmacy and medical equipment companies. Estimate tells the increase of about USD 800 million revenues of the sector in Vietnam every year and are expected to reach USD 2.2 billion in 2019. The average growth would be 18-20% in the 2016-2020 period”.
Professor, Ph.D. Phạm Lê Tuấn – Head of Finance Department of Vietnam Ministry of Health said about 90% medical equipments available in local hospitals came from foreign countries such as Japan, Germany, America, China and Singapore, accounting for more than 50% of total import values.
Huge demands of medical equipment are on the rise, particularly X ray machine, operation, emergency, testing and hi-tech equipments for hospitals in big cities including Ho Chi Minh, Hue, Da Nang, Can Tho and so on. Ho Chi Minh City expects to spend USD 900 million for upgrading its hospitals, alone.
Showcases of international large medical and pharmaceutical corporations
This year, over 400 exhibitors with over 450 booths will showcase their most advanced products and services in Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo. They include giant corporations, world leading companies from countries and territories such as Belarus, China, EU, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Qatar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, USA and Vietnam… The highlight of the exhibition will be 8 international pavilions including EU Business Avenue, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Qatar, Taiwan.
EU Business Avenue Pavilion
EU Business Avenue (EUBA) delegation – the first time participation in Vietnam Medipharm Expo with large area of 400 sqm including more than 50 Enterprises will introduce high tech medical equipment, prominent healthcare services and advanced technologies with the aim to cooperate with Vietnamese public and private hospitals, companies, and enterprises in medical field. Especially after Vietnam signed EVFTA (EU- Vietnam Free Trade Agreement) with European countries.
German Pavilion
After some gap years, Bavarian (German) Pavilion supported by Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology will showcase the most advance medical equipments and technologies from German companies to attract and exchange with Vietnamese medical professionals.
India Pavilion
The exhibition will welcome the participation for the second time of Indian Pavilion which is organized by Indian Trade Promotion Organizations (ITPO). SME companies from India will introduce medicines, lab and medical equipments, herbal products which are Indian strength in international market.
Qatar Pavilion
Qatar Pavilion supported by Qatar Development Bank received a successful result after participating in Vietnam Medipharm Expo 2019. In order to expand their business in Vietnam, they have chosen Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo 2020 in Hochiminh City to showcase their products and seek for more opportunities with medical companies and hospitals in the South of Vietnam. Qatar Pavilion is expected to attract visitors with unique design of Qatar culture and diversified products and services.
Hong Kong Pavilion
Hong Kong Pavilion is organized by Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and Hong Kong Chinese Prepared Medicine Traders Associations Ltd will participate for the first time with products and treatment services of Hong Kong traditional medicines.
Busan (Korea) Medical Tourism Industry Exhibition
Busan Medical Tourism Industry Exhibition is hosted and organized by Busan Metropolitan City and Busan Economic Promotion Agency. After the successful edition at Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo 2019, “Busan (Korea) Medical Tourism Industry Exhibition” will enter Ho Chi Minh City market. It is expected that more and more visitors will have chances to access advanced and professional medical treatment services along with various medical equipments. This time, Busan Medical Tourism Industry will have over 40 booths of 30 most famous hospitals to promote Busan as one of the best medical tourism destination for Vietnamese people.
