Job description

Performance (60%):

1/ Solution Development & Implementation Nationwide (40%):

1.1 Business Intelligent (5%)

- Research market in relative fields to support for CL operation demand of development

- Identify and advise industry specific trends in targeted vertical markets based on the detailed understanding of their operational characteristics

- Provide insights to the internal teams regarding overseas requirements and local business practices in multi-country bids.

1.2 Solution for Specific Customer or Business (20%)

- Provide leadership to oversee the entire solution design process of all warehousing projects in Vietnam with includes the data analysis, determination of solution concept, detailed solution design, cost modelling and price calculations

- Understand, interpret, and map out customer operation workflow with the information obtained from the RFI, customer's database, customer meeting and/or site visits

- Identify suitable warehouse locations based on customer business requirements

- Analyze customer’s data to recommend suitable facilities, complimenting material handling equipment (MHE), manpower resources and other necessary investments with the right meaning level

- Identify potential areas for optimization in customer operation and propose improvements

- Propose and design warehouse internal layout(s) or relative basic drawing with AutoCAD/Visio or similar software (visualization/drafting)

1.3 Implementation & Revision (15%)

- Planning & coordinate both internally and externally to ensure for well implementation following agreed timeline, from preparation to go-live

- Review SOP and process for warehouse and transportation of new project

- Ensure project running and go-live in effectiveness to satisfy customer demand and effectiveness from operations

- Provide solutions to all relevant issues of operation and customer service to avoid loss of business to competitors

- Validate and review cost models with key stakeholders based on design assumptions, proposed terms and conditions together alert on the potential business risk

- Conduct analysis, propose and implement improvements on unsuccessful tenders or business as necessary

2. Commercial & Pricing Nationwide (20%)

- Cooperate with Commercial team to win the business by advising the most competitive selling rate(s) or unique selling proposition

- Participate in financial and/or contract negotiations to ensure profitability and/or the recovery of all project and operation costs

- Determine estimated cost required for the proposed solution via key personnel/team within nationwide organization, existing vendor contacts and/or direct sourcing

- Customize and develop cost models, determine selling rates in accordance to customer pricing template

- Ensure projected revenue in the cost models meet the Finance targeted

- Prepare financial justifications and investment applications for new project program to obtain management approval

- Support the Commercial team in the development of negotiation strategy, value proposition and prepare the supporting figures

- Create and maintain cost database for benchmarking exercises

OPERTIONAL EXCELLENCE (10%):

- Create and launch Control Tower center to update information collecting for CL operation

- Lead, participate and support development, deployment, and continuous improvement of methodologies, tools and templates.

- Review periodically SOP and process for warehouse, transportation and internal CL

- Optimize to develop operations and customer service in the CL BU through solution and innovation

- Create and update CL / Warehouse business status in recent capacity and demand to outside relative teams / departments

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION (10%):

- Support CL Management for overall customer satisfaction through services providing and project running

- Provide solutions on customer service maintain and development

- Follow up to support Operations in requirements and service demand

- Realize customer requirements or demand then optimize through project solution and result

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (20%):

- Collaboration with Warehouse team / function staff at the Warehouse

- Collaboration with Commercial team / function staff at this team

- Maintain and develop team-work through daily working

- Create and lead staff in team (whereas available) in well-cooperation and effectiveness

- Training/coaching staff in team (whereas available) to be a strong and support team

- Develop, adopt and conduct training programs in the areas of solution design including cost modelling to internal staff/teams as required, and/or customize materials and tools based on participants’ training needs

- Join necessary training or workshop in duty.

Requirement : 

Skills Required      

·         Structured project approach and ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the excellent standards.

·         Strong and in-depth knowledge in warehouse solution design and supply chain network design; able to develop operationally feasible solution(s) to meet customer requirements.

·         Good command in spoken and written English and Vietnamese; other Asian/European language(s) is beneficial.

·         Good leadership.

·         Good organization and coaching skills.

·         Enable working under high pressure.

Experience and Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or relevant technical.

·         Experience in modern warehouse and supply chain solution design including automation and other modern warehousing innovations (robotics, digitalization).

·         5+ years of relevant working experience of solution design in the logistics and supply chain industry; knowledge in 3PL is referable.

·         Preferred Industry experience in Consumer, Retail including Ecommerce and Electronics, FMCG, similar experiences in 3PL environment is a plus.

·         Practical working experience with AutoCAD or other visualization software, and/or other supply chain design software/tools.

.         Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP Function, Pivot Table, VBA Macro
