Our story began in 1997 with the development of DEEP C Haiphong I (formerly known as Dinh Vu Industrial Zone), a collaboration between Belgian investor Rent-A-Port and Haiphong People’s Committee.

Over the past 25 years, it has constantly expanded to three industrial zones in Haiphong and two in Quang Ninh, forming DEEP C industrial zone cluster covering 3,400 hectares at the epicentre of the region’s manufacturing and infrastructure boom, with close proximity to the international airport, deep seaport and extended expressway network. • Koen Soenens is currently General Sales and Marketing Director in DEEP C Industrial Zones, the leading Belgian-backed industrial zone developer in Vietnam.

• Koen is extremely good at one thing. And that is helping businesses to drive sales success across a large region. In his first year at DEEP C Industrial Zones in 2020, Koen led a group of sales executives to hit a 23-year sales record of the company, attracting 19 manufacturing projects with a total investment of 900 million USD. Over the last 15 years, he generated more than 130 million USD worldwide sales and developed sales distribution channels throughout Europe, Africa, Asia & Middle East.

• Beside his strong sales background, Koen has led a career with more than 20 years of worldwide progressive success in business development, marketing and sales management, sales training and public relations in Business to Government and Business to Business markets, including Value-Added Logistics Business and Intelligent Transportation Systems. He has worked in over 30 countries and 4 continents.
