Hung Yen is a province of the Red river delta It is located in the northern key economic zone and the economic triangle of Hanoi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh. As the eastern gateway of Hanoi, there are National Highways 5A, 5Bconnecting to expressway 5B to Phap Van - Ninh Binh expressway and Hanoi - Hai Phong railway. There are also National Highways 39A, 38 connected from National Highway 5A through Hung Yen city to National Highway 1A. Moreover, Hung Yen is also near seaports of Hai Phong, Cai Lan and Noi Bai international airport.

Natural resources: Hung Yen's spiritual masterpiece land region with many natural resources are abundant and varied with land, water, rivers, minerals

Traffic: - There are 3 national highways across the province, namely national highway 38, 38B and 39. The national highway 38 and 38B are under the management of Regional Road Management Unit I, while Hung Yen Department of Transport is authorised to manage highway 39. - Province-level and district-level roads: there are 13 routes across the province, with a total length of 312.1 km. Among these, 12 routes are numbered from ĐT.376 to ĐT.387; 1 route is numbered ĐT.377B. - Railway system: There is 01 railway, which is the Gia Lam – Hai Phong railway, running across the province.

Power system: Hung Yen currently has two 220kV substations and nine 110kV substations. Electricity price: as directed in Decision no. 2256/QĐ-BCT dated March 23rd 2015 by Ministry of Industry and Trade regulating mechanism of average electricity price. Installment and repairment services, electricity access time: - New installment of single-phase electric meter: No more than 7 working days starting from when customers have satisfied all required conditions to buy electricity and have finished all negotiations (if any) with the Power Company. - New installment of three-phase electric meter: No more than 10 working days starting from when clients have satisfied all required conditions to buy electricity and have finished all negotiations (if any) with the Power Company. - Electricity access time: as directed in Circular no. 33/2014/TT-BCT dated October 10th, 2014 by Ministry of Industry and Trade on reducing electricity access time (no more than 33 working days). + Execution period after receiving full and valid documents from clients is within 15 working days for Hung Yen Power Company. + Execution period after receiving full and valid documents from clients is within 18 working days for government administrative agencies.

Water system: Hung Yen currenty has 4 province-scale concentrated treatment zones, 2 of which are in operation (Dai Dong Treatment Zone with a capacity of about 60 tons/day; Hung Yen City Treatment Zone with a capacity of about 75 tons/day. At present, a solid waste treatment zone is being built in Di Su commune, My Hao district using incineration technology with a capacity of 2000kg per hour.

GDP growth rate 2021: 6.52%

Up to now, Hung Yen has 516 FDI projects with the total investment capital is about 6.2 billion US dollars
