Hau Giang belongs to Mekong Delta. It borders with Can Tho City, Vinh Long Province on the north, Bac Lieu Province on the south, Soc Trang Province on the east, and Kien Giang Province on the west.

There are three main roads such as Highway 1, Highway 61 and Highway 61B joining Vi Thanh to Can Tho, the main route connecting Can Tho city to Kien Giang and Bac Lieu province. In addition, two main waterways are Xa No and Quan Lo Phung Hiep canal.

GDP growth rate 2021: 3.08%

Up to now, Hau Giang has 29 FDI projects with the total investment capital is about 686 million US dollars.
