Dak Lak Province is in Central Highland in 400- 800m high above sea. It has border with Gia Lai in the north and east-north, Lam Dong Province in the south, Cambodia and Dak Nong Province in the west, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces in the east.

Natural resources: Include Ban Mê Thuột city, Buon Ho town and 13 districts: Krông Buk, Krông Pak, Lăk, Ea Súp, M’Drăk, Krông Ana, Krông Bông, Ea H’leo, Cư M’gar, Krông Năng, Buôn Đôn và Ea Kar and Cu Kuin.

Travel resources: Daklak is a mountainous province with great tourism potentiality. There are many famous waterfalls such as Krông Kmar, Bảy Nhánh, Thủy Tiên, Ba Tầng etc, many water reservoirs such as Lăk, Ea Kao, Ea Đờn etc, which are really suitable for canoeing, water skiing, fishing, and other entertainment activities. There are intact forests in Yok Đôn national park, Nam Ka, Nam Nung, Tà Đùng reserve areas with various ecology systems.

Human resources: At present time, the number of people in working age is 872,833 people, however the number of people in working age working in Dak Lak”s economy was 712,454 accounting for 42.73% the population. Trained labor was about 27.2%

Traffic: Transportation system includes roadway and airway. Dak Lak has important national highways of No. 14, 14C, 26, 27, 28. The national highway No. 14 connects Dak Lak with Đà Nẵng, Gia Lai, and Kon Tum. The national highway No. 26 connects Buôn Ma Thuột city with seaport city of Nha Trang, national highway No. 27 to Đà Lạt city and Phan Rang etc. There is an airport in Buôn Ma Thuột city with flights to Hanoi, Hồ Chí Minh city and Đà Nẵng.

Power system: The power system has been rapidly developed. In 2005, all of 165 communes, wards and towns of the province were connected to the national grid.

Post and Telecommunication Systems: The system has been gradually modernized. There is telephone service available in all of the local districts.

GDP growth rate 2021: 5,1%

Up to now, Dak Lak has 25 FDI projects with the total investment capital is about 635 million US dollars.
